Here at the Academy we are passionate about #findingtalent.  In the last couple of years we have trained over 5,000 people. In response to the incredible talent we were finding, we set up our talent development programme which helps people in the UK find their dream job.

Talent Development Programme

Launched in 2014 our talent development programme was set up to revolutionise the way the business finds and develops talent.  We create personalised development programmes which are aligned to Bauer’s* business needs, helping to create pathways to real job opportunities for our students. There is no entry requirement which means we can search for talent outside traditional groups, helping to support and promote diversity across creative industries.

How it works

Where talent is identified it is first nurtured through various Academy activities and courses. Those who show exceptional talent are entered onto a 12 week programme where they are assigned an industry mentor. As with our overall programme, this mentoring is aligned to Bauer’s* business needs and upcoming job opportunities.  At the end of the 12 weeks the internship is over and the student will either be offered paid work at Bauer or will move on, with continued support from the Academy.

Creating Opportunities

Since 2014, students have come through our talent development programme and are now working across the creative industries in radio, publishing and television.  We are currently working with another 30 talented individuals and are always on the lookout for more, so get in touch!
