Apprenticeships provide some incredible benefits to employers: greater access to skilled workers, enhanced retention and attraction, and improved organisational performance are just some of these. Not only can the levy be used to induct and train new employees, but also upskill existing employees.
Any funding that remains in their National Apprenticeship Service accounts after 24 months (i.e. after 6 April 2019) will expire.
So much missed opportunity for levy-paying employers.
